Israeli-Palestinian Negotiating PartnersPurpose
THE GOAL is to improve the Israeli-Palestinian negotiation process. To achieve this goal, IPNP pursues three strategic objectives:
• To foster an effective process and constructive culture of negotiation, employing interest-based negotiation methodologies to promote mutually acceptable outcomes and durable solutions.
• To tailor a set of interest-based negotiation tools and methodologies to the requirements of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
• To establish a network of skilled negotiators who can link leaders with the grassroots level, sustain communication channels between leaders of both sides, and prevent internal parties on either side from shutting down the process.
IPNP has been developed not as a forum for actual negotiations, but rather as a means of drawing together a group of Palestinian and Israeli professionals to develop their negotiation skills. In addition, through this process, participants develop long-lasting relationships
